Bringing a primary health centre back to life in Dekina

When PPSDI arrived in Dekina LGA under the World Bank HPDP-II HAF II project, the Ikpakpala-Ologba primary health centre was dilapidated. Over six months, it was renovated and returned to service for the community.

Renovation was only part of the work. The team trained OVC and PLHIV peer educators, ran monthly kids club forums, and distributed scholastic materials and home-based care kits, reaching 180 orphans and vulnerable children and 2,885 community members in the first tranche.
